Silver Nerve Damage

DSW is seriously the best. I've said it before, and I stand by it. They have a customer for life here. Plus I have all those rewards, so there’s that. They looked great , but hurt like hell.  Let week my procrastinating self decided that silver shoes were needed to complete my outfit for a wedding I was attending. After scouring the internet, I found a great pair of Betsey Johnson silver heels with a rhinestone embellishment. Seriously amazing looking shoes (named Gia if you're looking for it). Despite the cost of said shoe, I didn't qualify for free shipping because I’m not a platinum member (on account of being all pregnant for like a year), so I had to pay upgraded shipping so the shoes showed up in time (hopefully), and then of course I bitched about it because it turned my $80 shoes into $100 shoes. I should have really just worn what I have, but whatever. DSW jumped on Titter, responded to my bitching, and upgraded my shipping for free. Yep. Awesome. So m...

Metallic Shoes as Neutrals

Sparkles always become a big thing around the holidays, but this fall metallics have been seeping into heels for everyday wear. Giuseppe Zanotti perfection I love metallic heels, and think that gold or silver can easily be worn as an everyday shoe. Treat them as  neutrals, only with a little more pizazz. Silver heels can be incorporated into anything with a gray base very easily. After all, silver is just gray with some shine. You can also cap off a great pair of white pants or a dress with silver shoes, or put them with anything black to dress it up a little. Gold can also be paired with black, and you can tie it all together with some amazing accessories. It can also tie together a brown/black combo if you don't have a tortoiseshell option, or are simply looking for something different. Of course either of these choices are seamlessly paired with flashy holiday sweaters that have gold or silver threaded through them or have metallic accents. All...

Canceling Silver

A couple days ago I got a shipping confirmation on a pair of sandals I ordered. Yeah! New shoes. They were silver sandals with a wooden heel from Qupid . Very last season, but I figured they were on super sale and I needed something to replace my silver sandals, which probably should have been disposed of last summer. Then yesterday I got another email: These are not my new silver sandals. I'm contacting you with regards to your recent order number XXXX. Unfortunately the Saydie Silver shoes you purchased were out of stock when our warehouse tried to ship them to you and we will not be restocking them. Unfortunately this means that we are not going to be able to fulfill this part of your order. I have cancelled this part of your order and requested a refund be issued to your card. Please allow 5-7 business days for this to clear. Our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused. Kindest regards, Bridget Thanks Bridget. So if you're canceling my order, what t...

Basic Silver

I decided this winter I needed silver shoes. That makes sense, right? I didn't have any, I just bought this great gray-silver silk button down, and the whole look would be perfect for the holidays. It's also freakishly easy to find metallic heels around the holidays. But I procrastinated. I saw shoes I liked, and put it off. Then they were out of stock on my size. I saw other shoes that were great, but open toe, and I wanted a closed toe. Others were amazing but out of my price range. Too sparkly, not sparkly enough, too dark, too shiny. I want something that looks like I have mirrors on my feet, now I want something subtle that I can wear to work. My totally basic silver pumps On and on this stupid mind game went until I saw a pair on massive sale, bit the bullet and ordered some classic silver pumps with a closed toe, platform, and 5 inch heel. Unfortunatly I also waited so long that they didn't get to me in time for Christmas. So yesterday I walked in and my hu...
